The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) was created in 1953 as an independent agency of the federal government to aid, counsel, assist and protect the interests of small business concerns, to preserve free competitive enterprise and to maintain and strengthen the overall economy of our nation. The Columbus District office covers Ohio’s 60 northwest, central, and southern counties. The SBA and its network of partners assists small business owners and entrepreneurs in the areas of counseling, training, access to capital, surety bonding, government contracting, advocacy programs and disaster recovery.
I enjoy talking to business owners and sharing our services as well as getting them connected with the resources they need to start and expand their business.
I look forward to interacting with the business community to share information and answer questions about SBA’s products and services including The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act which was signed on February 17th.
